Refund policy

At Legally Blind & Morally Grey, every piece is made, reimagined or selected with care. Many of our creations are handmade, embellished or one of a kind, and some are created specifically for an individual customer.

We believe our customers deserve the same fairness and care that we would expect ourselves. If something genuinely isn't right with your order, please contact us. We'll listen, assess the problem fairly and work with you to find the appropriate solution.

Change of Mind

Please choose carefully before purchasing. We provide photographs, descriptions and relevant product information to help you make your decision.

We do not offer returns, exchanges or refunds simply because you have changed your mind, decided you no longer like or need the item, or made an incorrect choice.

This does not affect any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Custom & Personalised Orders

Custom and personalised pieces are created specifically for you. Before work begins, we will work with you to confirm the relevant details of your order, which may include design, colours, materials, sizing, embellishments and other specifications.

Once the design has been agreed and work has commenced, custom or personalised orders cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded simply because you change your mind.

Where possible, important custom-order specifications and approval to begin work will be confirmed in writing.

If a custom or personalised item is faulty, damaged, does not match the agreed specifications or otherwise fails to meet the applicable consumer guarantees, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law still apply.

Handmade, Embellished & Reimagined Pieces

Part of the character of handmade and reimagined work is that no two pieces will necessarily be identical. Small variations in placement, finish, colour or other handmade details may occur and are part of the individual nature of the piece.

These variations do not remove your rights if there is a genuine fault with the product.

Our embellished and reimagined pieces are designed to be enjoyed, but they are not indestructible. Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, failure to follow reasonable care instructions, or damage caused by using an item in a way it was not designed to be used is not considered a product fault.

Some embellished products may be supplied with spare embellishments, such as rhinestones, for minor maintenance that can naturally arise through wear. Where care instructions are provided, following them will help keep your piece looking its best.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you believe your item is faulty, has arrived damaged, is significantly different from its description or agreed specifications, or otherwise does not meet the Australian Consumer Guarantees, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

We may ask you to provide photographs, details of the problem and proof of purchase so that we can assess what has happened and determine the appropriate next step.

Depending on the circumstances and your rights under Australian Consumer Law, an appropriate remedy may include a repair, replacement or refund.

If a product has a major problem under Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to choose between a refund and replacement. For a minor problem, we may be entitled to provide an appropriate remedy within a reasonable time.

If an item is confirmed to have a problem covered by the Australian Consumer Guarantees, reasonable return costs will be handled in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Wear, Damage & Misuse

We understand that handmade and embellished pieces will naturally show signs of use over time. However, damage caused by ordinary wear and tear, accidents, rough treatment, misuse, inappropriate storage or care, or use outside the item's intended purpose is not the same as a fault in the product.

If you're unsure whether a problem may be related to workmanship or normal wear, please contact us. We'd much rather have a conversation and look at what has happened than make assumptions.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Consumer guarantees apply automatically and may continue for a reasonable period depending on the nature of the product, its price, age, expected use and other relevant circumstances.
